Fuel Prices to Increase on Island
Consumers in Saint Lucia will be paying more for both gasoline and diesel as of Monday, April 4, 2016. The increases are reflective of the hike in the price of oil on the world market. The CIF prices of products imported by the suppliers of petroleum products during the review period will reflect the adjustments in world market prices.
 
Gasoline will be sold for $0.67 more, at $9.92 per gallon. Diesel will be sold for $0.59 more, at $9.04 per gallon. Liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in 20. 22 and 100 lbs, has increased by $1.69, $1.86 and $8.48 respectively to $24.42 $27.14 and $162.02 respectively.

SLTB Launches 'Hot Couture' Fashion Event

The organizers of the St.Lucia Jazz and Arts festival are hoping to excite the public with a fresh and versatile offering of this year’s Hot Couture showcase.

The St.Lucia Tourist Board and Cinnamon Productions hosted a press launch on Thursday evening at The Rex Resort. This event gave the press a preview of this year’s fashion show. It is the 4th edition of the fashion event.

Forensics Lab to Resume Operations Soon
Operations at the island’s forensic lab are expected to resume in the next two weeks focusing specifically on drug testing.

The disclosure was made by National Security Minister Philip La Corbiniere following several calls on the government since the closure of the facility due to security breaches last year.

Two men of Babonneau have been formally charged in connection with the homicide of Dean Monlouis.

It follows investigations that led police to a shallow grave in Plateau last week where Monlouis’ body was discovered.
