This comes as the government welcomes the small airline which is now responsible for transporting the St Lucia delegation to the Caricom Heads of Government Meeting in Grenada.

Results are In for the Groovy, Power and Calypso Semi Finals!

A number of competitions were held this past weekend to determine the finalists of both the Groovy and Power Soca Monarch Competition and the National Calypso Monarch.

Both shows will be held during the main weekend of national activities, spanning July 14 to July 16. The National Calypso Monarch Competition is being held on Saturday July 15th from 8pm and will see the following finalists in what will be a keenly contested battle.

ECCB Advises Against Public Panic Amidst Reports of the Circulation of Counterfeit Currency

The resident office for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank has advised against public panic due to reports of counterfeit notes in circulation here.

The claims were reported to Radio Caribbean International this morning suggesting that fifty dollar counterfeit notes with the same serial number are being circulated.

Fuel Prices Increase in Saint Lucia

Adjustments have been made to the cost of fuel at the local pump, in keeping with changes on the International market.

The prices have been calculated using the Market Pass-Through Mechanism which is done every three weeks.

Report of Calypso Monarch Semi Finals

It was not difficult to figure out who the favourites were when the semi finals of the Calypso Monarch competition opened at the national Cultural Centre on Sunday.

The observation comes from the Chairman on the Calypso Management committee Claude Paul who notes that the contenders gave an excellent account of themselves with strong performances.
