A former Government Minister who is well known for losing his life in an act of heroism will be honoured next month.

The announcement was made this morning by the Parliamentary Representative for Babonneau Alvina Reynolds who informed that a  memorial celebration to honour the life of Kenneth John will be held on July 1st.

Mr John died while attempting to save a drowning visitor at the Grand Anse Beach on 01 July,1998.

A series of activities to celebrate his bravery and heroism was launched today by the Babonneau Constituencies Council.

Meanwhile Chairman of the Kenneth John Memorial organizing committee Michael Gaspard has announced several of the activities which are scheduled to take place in honour of the man who is being described as a national hero.

The event will also feature a cricket tournament as well as a taxicade
