The Water Resource Management Agency has issued a stern warning following claims that water conservation practices are not being employed by sections of the public despite the issuance a water related emergency for the entire island.

Mr Fitzgerrald John has reminded the public that stiff penalties will be imposed on anyone caught engaging in activities that are wasteful.

The island continues to face dry conditions which have severely depleted the raw water supply.

Weather conditions are not expected to change until September
