The victims of a fire which destroyed four houses in Micoud on June 1st are expected to benefit from the generosity of St Lucians.

The support is coordinated through the Micoud North Relief Committee which was established by the leader of the Political Opposition and the Member of parliament for the area Dr Gale Rigobert.

Dr Rigobert says the fundraising drive which began on June 6th is expected to continue and will be channelled through an umbrella organization which has been set up.

Dr Rigobert has urged St Lucians to continue to make donation. An account has been opened to receive monetary contributions that will go toward rebuilding the four homes.

Meanwhile a health fair that was held in Micoud last weekend has been hailed a success. The Parliamentary representative says it would not have been possible without the kind assistance of the medical practitioners who agreed to render their services and the cooperation of the residents.

The health fair was held at the Mon Repos Combined School
