A police raid was conducted on the premises of the American International Medical University (AIMU) in the North of the Island, on Monday afternoon according to the St Lucia Times.
The Police action is part of an ongoing investigation into the operation of offshore medical institutions here, it has been reported.
The online news media outlet informed that as part of the ongoing investigation into the legitimacy of some of the people involved in those institutions, there could be some arrests.
AIMU’s website boasts a 95 percent pass rate in medical licensing, a 100 percent pass rate in nursing and a six percent financial aid ratio for students.
The school says it is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Saint Lucia.
It was not immediately clear what the Police were looking for and whether they took anyone into their custody or seized any documents from the offshore medical institution.
