Hundreds of Soufriere residents showed up to attend a vigil in memory of a mentally challenged man who was killed by police last week.
According to Mr Giovani Moses the event included prayers, by the victims family and other residents who also laid reefs at the locations where the police first encountered Kervin Joseph as well as the river where he was shot and killed.
Mr Moses explained that what drew so many people to attend the vigil is the ill fate that befell Joseph who was not a menace to society.
The death of Kervin Joseph is recorded as the first police killing for 2015-08-24
