Almost one month after the curtains came down on the 2015 offerings in the island’s largest cultural showpiece, the players remain embroiled in controversy.
It is coming from the embattled calypso section, where the artistes and START management are at loggerheads again.
The St Lucia Association of Recognized Tents has been placed on notice that its failure to meet a seven day ultimatum served by the Artists Representing Themselves will result in litigation.
The announcement was made by a trustee of ART Ignatius Invader Tisson who informed that artistes who performed in the 2015 carnival season are yet to be paid.
He claims that the position was taken by ART members at a general meeting that was convened on Saturday.
Start representatives could not be reached for comment.
