The National Emergency Management Organization has received a gift funded by the Taiwanese government which will help NEMO during times of emergencies.
On Friday NEMO and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Energy showcased the new addition at the NEMO headquarters.
The Ministry installed a 25 kilowatt solar Photo-volt-aic system which is designed to supply energy through solar power. The system is also expected to decrease the organizations energy cost.
Permanent Secretary Sylvester Chauzel explained why this addition was specifically chosen for NEMO.
Minister for Sustainable development, energy, science and Technology, Dr.James Fletcher says transitioning away from fossil fuels will help the ministry reach its energy usage goals.

The ministry is striving to hit the target of 35% renewable energy by 2020.
