Two individuals including a police officer have been formally charged in connection with a police operation conducted last week.
As a result of the operation which was conducted at a night Club in the north of the island, a total of 10 non nationals from Dominica, Jamaica, Barbados and the Dominican Republic were arrested and subsequently charged for the offence of working without a valid work permit.
They made an appearance before the First District Court on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 where they were granted bail.
On Wednesday, May 4, 2016 police formally charged Constable Alexander Jules of Odsan, Castries and Lisa Callendar of Corinth Gros-Islet for the offence of employing persons without a work permit.
They made an appearance before the First District Court where they were granted bail.
They were charged in connection with the police operation conducted at a night club on Thursday, April 28, 2016.
Investigations continue into this matter.
