A tropical wave which interacted with an upper level system has dumped several inches of rain here.
The information comes from the Director of Met Services Venantius Descartes in light of inclement weather which began affecting St Lucia on Sunday.
Descartes has urged for caution due to what he believes could be the possibility of flooding and landslides.
Met officials warn that moisture and instability left in the wake of a tropical wave will cause scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms over St Lucia. A total of 34.6 and 39.4 mm of rainfall has been recorded in the north and south of the island respectively
Some improvement is expected by this afternoon.
