A Regional organization has expressed disappointment because the government of St.Lucia, unlike other countries has not publicly reacted to the recent mass shooting in the United States.

France, Britain and Germany are among the countries which sent condolences to the United States after Gunman Omar Marteen shot and killed 49 people at an LGBT nightclub in Florida on June 12th. Officials from Eastern Caribbean Alliance for Diversity and Equality (ECADE) expressed their disappointment during interview with RCI News on Friday.

Maria Fontenelle secretary for ECADE says government should put personal bias aside and publicly recognize that any life lost is a tragedy.

Fontenelle says governments are supposed to represent all their citizens.

Over 50 of the survivors in this incident were injured.
