Health Officials have issued strong caution to the public at the height of carnival festivities taking place here.

Medical Officer in the Ministry of Health Dr Sharon Belmar George has urged the public against any action that could put their health at risk.

She urges the public to avoid excessive exposure to the sun and to stay hydrated.

Dr George has also advised revelers to wear mosquito repellant because of the increased amount of exposed skin during Carnival activities. She has also urged against drunk driving and cautions that people should look out for each other.

Carnival festivities culminate with the two day parade of the bands on July 18th and 19th.
