A total of eighteen new recruits have been added to the ports police roster.
The addition comes following what officials say were several months operating below capacity
Saint Lucia Air and Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), held their Port Police Recruit Introductory Programme at the Authority’s Conference Room at its headquarters on Manoel Street.
Addressing participants during the ceremony, SLASPA’s general manager Keigan Cox, stressed the importance of the job and the officers’ role in the up keep and smooth running of the country’s sea and airport operations.
The recruitment ceremony took place on Monday this week.
