The cause of death has been determined as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a seventy six year old woman of Marisule.
A post mortem conducted on the body revealed that Rose Anne Raymond died of asphyxia secondary to ligature strangulation.
Police received a report of the homicide at Marisule, about 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 2016. The body of the deceased was discovered at her residence.
She was later conveyed to the Victoria Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a medical practitioner.
Police are seeking the assistance of the public in obtaining information as it relates to any individuals who may have been in or around a red station wagon, belonging to the deceased, registration number PA 484, between Friday, December 9, 2016, about 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, December 11, 2016, about 2:00 a.m.
The vehicle was noticed parked along the John Compton Highway, opposite the NIC Building, Waterfront, Castries during this time.
