The grief stricken mother of a sixteen year old male who was fatally gunned down on Sunday in Bois Den says her son’s life was taken senselessly.
Dequan Joseph was among three individuals killed in what is believed to be a random shooting around 4pm on Sunday.
The mother identified as Wendy says she heard gunfire in the neighbourhood on Sunday afternoon and shortly afterward she received a call informing that her son had been killed.
At the time, she recalled that he had been at a barbeque with friends.
Wendy says her son who does not reside at Jacmel was on one of his weekend visits when he met his demise.
She swears that her son who was a fifth form drop out of the Bocage Secondary School was not involved in trouble with anyone.
Dequan Jeseph was the fourth of five siblings. Three individuals were fatally shot in the incident. They have been identified as Kyle Richard, also known as Kyle Nelson, Dequan Joseph and Gillan Charles, 37. A fourth man received a gunshot wound to the leg.
The reason for the armed attack Sunday evening remains unclear.
