An early morning jogger has cautioned against training alone, after he was reportedly attacked and chased by two individuals.
John Pompey claims that he refused an offer for a lift when he was approached by individuals in a black car around 3am. But he says they pursued him throwing stones at him.
The man said he was able to escape his pursuers but soon met up with them again, this time in a white vehicle near Massy Mega in Choc.
He informed that they again gave chase but he was able to out run them. Pompey describes the experience as frightening and has cautioned individuals against exercising alone on mornings.
Pompey says his efforts to file a report with police were unsuccessful, as they did not take his call for help seriously.
Pompey says he is currently training for the round the island race which takes place annually as part of independence day activities.
