A Grenadian academic is the first among a list of OECS citizens to feature prominently in a series that will recognize successful individuals in the sub-region and the diaspora.

The initiative which is being coordinated by the OECS Commission began today.

According to the Commission’s head of Communications Ramon Peachey, the project, which will highlight one outstanding OECS national per month, aims to encourage the region’s youth to ‘think big’ and open their minds to extraordinary career possibilities through the inspiring success stories of their OECS peers.

Peachey remarked that the features will provide an avenue of contact and recognition so that the relevant sectors can reach out to these individuals, should the need arise.

The series is expected to continue indefinitely, to include as many nationals of the sub-region.
