The community of Ciceron is poised to receive a major face-lift. This is according to the Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority.
The transition will be made possible via an improved solid waste collection system tailored to provide collection coverage with particular emphasis on areas that have historically not benefitted from the service.
Residents will also experience a discontinuation of the traditional roadside garbage heaps and filth that has been synonymous with their community under this new collection system.
The Saint Lucia Solid Waste Management Authority however, warns residents that the transformation will be successful only if they play their role by adhering to the solid waste collection schedules set for the community.
The new collection service will commence from Monday, February 05 to be continued only on Mondays and Thursdays weekly.
A bulk waste collection service for unwanted household appliances, furniture and fittings will be provided on the first Wednesday of every month beginning on Wednesday, February 07, 2018.
All Saturday collections have been discontinued as of the week of Monday, February 05, 2018.
