The MP for Micoud North remains the Leader of the Parliamentary Opposition in waiting. This is several days after she and three other parliamentary representatives withdrew their support for Mr. Stephenson King.
RCI News understands that the MPs have informed the island's Governor General of their decision who in turn has requested Dr. Gale Rigobert to express her willingness to take up the appointment.
There are unconfirmed reports that she is done so in the affirmative.
Mr. King has lost the post of leader of the Parliamentary Opposition six months after he was unseated as the Political Leader of the main opposition United Workers Party.
