The general Secretary of the Caribbean Union of Teachers has reacted to news about the plight of students of the Fond Assau Combined School.

Reports indicate that the building which houses students is in a desperate state of disrepair and that rehabilitation works at the termite infested school were stalled over the summer vacation.

Mrs Virginia Albert who is also a past Principal of the school says the situation which now exists is as a result of a deficiency on the part of the school’s management.

Mrs Poyotte has made her own recommendations on how to deal with the situation at the school to make it more bearable for students and teachers to operate in.
