Several islands in the region were rocked by a 4.3 magnitude earthquake on Thursday this week.
The seismic Research Unit of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad has confirmed reports noting that the tremor occurred at a depth of 10 kilometres, latitude 15.2 degrees north and 60.38 degrees west of the region.

The quake was felt in Martinique Dominica and St Lucia around 12:42 am.

So far there have been no reports of loss or damage to property, and at least one individual has reported the quake as felt in the Beausejour area.
