Technicians attached to the island’s health services have moved quickly to address another electrical issue that threatened to interrupt operations at the Victoria Hospital on Friday.

The incident which has been described as a fluctuation in the facility’s electricity supply occurred just two weeks after a power outage that severely affected the operations at some of the hospital’s departments.

Speaking to the incident, Hospital Engineer Gilan Joseph noted that the problem was as a result of a faulty change over switch in the generator room at Victoria Hospital.

Mr Joseph says the problem which was resolved on Friday is not related to the black-out incident at the island’s main health facility two weeks ago.

Mr Joseph says he does not foresee any long or short term interruptions or malfunctions with the electricity supply
