Exactly three weeks after reducing the price of gasoline from from $3.57 to $3.24 per litre – a saving of 33 cents – the government of Barbados, through its Division of energy, reduced the price again on Monday to $2.83 per litre, a further reduction of 42 cents.

The price of gasoline has fallen from $3.57 on December 20, 2014 to $2.83 per litre from Monday, 12 January 2015, a total reduction of 74 cents, or close to 21 percent.

The price of diesel, meanwhile, was also reduced on Monday, January 12, 2015 from $2.53 to $2.23 per litre, a drop of 30 cents, having also been reduced three weeks ago from $2.78 to $2.52, a drop of 26 cents, thus bringing the total reduction in the price of diesel fuel since December 21st  to 56 cents, a 20 percent reduction since just before Christmas.

On December 22 the price kerosene was reduced by eight cents from $1.61 to $1.53, and from this Monday it was also reduced again, by 26 cents, to $1.27. Kerosene has therefore been reduced by a total of 34 cents since just before Christmas, a 21% reduction.
