The Ministry of Commerce, Business Development Investment and Consumer Affairs  notifies the consuming public that effective February 9, 2015, the retail price for Petroleum products (LPG) has been amended in accordance with Statutory Instrument No. 14 of 2015, Price Control (Amendment) (No. 3) Order.  

The maximum selling price for LPG is set at $24.20 for the 20 pound, $$27.01 for the 22 pound and $192.33 for the 100 pound LPG gas cylinders.
The Ministry reminds that in keeping with Section 37 of the Distribution and Price of Goods Act No. 35 of 2006;

“A person shall not sell or offer for sale any good in excess of the maximum price fixed by a Price Order;

A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year (1 yr) or to both.”

The Ministry urges the public to take note of the changes and be guided accordingly.
