The 2015 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Massy United Insurance Schools Under 19 Cricket Tournament bowled off on Tuesday February 17 with two matches.

At the Monchy Playing Field, SDA Academy completed a comfortable 3 wicket victory over Castries Comprehensive Secondary.  Taking first knock, Castries Comprehensive was dismissed for 169 in 26 overs with the main contributors being Ardil Barlow with 30, Joshua Lecompte 19, Dequane Vite 18 and Shaqine Edgar 12.  Bowling for SDA Academy, Arnil Charles 4 for 24 in 6 overs, Rumario Simmons 3 for 18 in 6 overs and one wicket each to Dudley Charles and Shalyk St. Juste.

In reply, led by an unbeaten knock of 33 from Dudley Charles, SDA got to their target comfortably, finishing on 170 for 7 in 36 overs. Other useful scores came from Rumario Simmons with 31 and Shen Cazaubon 28. For CCSS, Shakym Scott was the most successful bowler with 3 for 24 in 9 overs. The other wicket takers were, Stuart Calderon, Kisheal Jaunai, Ardil Barlow and Shervin Lubrin who took one wicket each.

At the Dennery Playing Field, Micoud Secondary registered an easy 9 wicket victory over Grande Riviere Secondary.  Batting first, Grande Riviere Secondary was dismissed for 101 in 20 overs with Mc Kenny Flavius making 23 and Quinton Campas 15. Bowling for Micoud Secondary, Canaii Nervis 3 for 5 in 2 overs, Germaine Hardin 3 for 18 in 4 overs and Curtly Johnny 2 for 6 in 2 overs.
Set 102 for victory, Micoud Secondary finished on 102 for the loss of just one wicket in 13.5 overs. Kimlan Marquis and Garvin Serieux were both unbeaten at the end with 26 and 17 respectively.  Evan Alexander was the sole wicket taker for Grande Riviere Secondary.

The tournament continues on Wednesday with Babonneau Secondary coming up against Leon Hess Comprehensive at the Monchy Playing Field, Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource vs Soufriere at the Soufriere Playing Field and in a rescheduled match Piaye Secondary clashes with Choiseul Secondary at the Piaye Playing Field.
