The Kenneth Arthur Women’s Soft ball League stroked off over the last weekend with matches in the north and south of the island.

On Saturday there were wins for Des Barras over South Castries at BCG and Dennery defeated Mon Repos by 9 wickets in Dennery.

In Choiseul Caffiere (157/2) defeated Saltibus (70/7) and Tete Morne (121/4) defeated Delcer (83).

On Sunday four more matches were played.

At Dennery- Des Barras defeated Mon Repos by 8 wickets with Gemma Bridget hitting the top score of 22  for Des Barras. South Castries also defeated Dennery by 9 wickets. Johann Alphose 57* was the top score for Dennery and Nerissa Crafton 61* for South Castries.

At Choiseul:

Caffiere (55/1) defeated Tet Morne (53/8) and Saltibus (118) defeated Delcer (79/6).

Another two rounds of matches will be played this weekend.

Meanwhile , the captains and coaches of the following female soft ball teams- Des Barras, South Castries, Dennery and Mon Repos  are invited to an emergency meeting today  from 4:45pm at the Mindoo Phillip Park, while the team officials from - Vieux Fort North, Morne Paul, Tete Morne, Saltibus, Delcer and Caffiere will meet on Thursday from 5pm in Choiseul. The meetings have been scheduled to discuss some issues raised following last weekend's matches.
