Saint Lucia and SVG engaged in a titanic battle last evening as action continued in the Caribbean Netball Association's Jean Pierre Under-16 tournament.
Saint Lucia had won their first two games, but it was never going to be easy against their closest neighbours.
The teams were tied after the first quarter, at halftime, and after three quarters. With seconds remaining, they were tied again, at 22.
But a literal last-second shot gave St Vincent and the Grenadines a 23-22 victory and handed the home team their first defeat.
Today, Saint Lucia comes up against Barbados. Barbados remains the only unbeaten team in this tournament, trouncing Grenada 21-12.
Trinidad and Tobago picked up their first win for the tournament, winning 20-6 over Bermuda.
