Canaries, Gros Islet and Vieux Fort South have all booked their place to the semifinal round of the Michel’s Electrical Super League Football Tournament.

David Henry and Fitus Shepard scored in the 43rd and 75th minute to send Canaries past Roseau 2 goals to nil.

Vieux Fort South made light work of Mon Repos, scoring three times with goals from Antonio Joseph , Shem Savery and Thruston Joseph while Leslie James pulled one back for Mon Repos to see the later go out of the competition losing three goals to one.

Troy Greenidge scored twice to take his tally of goals in the Super league to 6, as Gros Islet defeated Mabouya Valley four goals to Nil.  Elijah Louis scored the other 2 goals for Gros Islet.

Micoud beat Central Castries two goals to one and Soufriere defeated Anse la Raye 4 -3 on penalties.  These results mean Micoud and Soufriere will meet in the playoff game to determine who will be the fourth team to qualify for the semifinal leg of the Super League.    Te match will be played at the Anse La Raye Grounds on Wednesday 29th April at 6:00pm.

In other Super League News, organizers of the Super League are indicating that they are already working on plans for the next years’ tournament.  Super league next year will see an increase in prize money to EC$60,000.00
