The Steel took on Barons Drive after a long break in the SRDF T20 Cricket League.

The match was reduced to 15 overs due to the late start. Barons Drive won the toss and decided to field first. The Steel took full advantage of that decision by capitalizing on the many errors committed by Barons Drive during the game. A total of 6 catches were dropped and a large number of runs were given up in over throws.

The Steel started off with a flyer, racing to 41 after 4 overs. However 2 wickets in 2 deliveries by the captain Methodius Paul in the fifth over slowed down the run rate a bit and after 6 overs The Steel were at 46-2. Any hopes of restricting The Steel to a low total after the come back by Barons Drive quickly vanished with a 102 run partnership in only 40 balls between Under-19 batsman Nick Joseph and Vince Smith. This partnership rallied The Steel to a demanding total of 167-5 in their allotted 15 overs. Vince Smith recorded the fastest 50 in the history of the tournament doing so in only 18 deliveries. Vince Smith 65, Nick Joseph 40*, Arthur Eugene 25.

In reply Barons Drive struggled from the beginning. Their situation became worst when their leading batsman had to retire hurt due to a burst upper eye, after the ball flew off the bat hitting him above the eye. To put Barons Drive innings into perspective they had lost 5 wickets within the 4 over powerplay for 28 runs. Also no one on the Barons Drive team was able to score double figures. They were eventually bowled out for 42 runs. The lowest total in this year's tournament by any team. The Steel won by 125 runs. Mavric Pamphile 4-3, Clem St. Rose 2-7, Yohan Williams 2-15.
