The Windward Islands Football Association's 2015 Men's Championship will see a new champion crowned on Saturday night. Hosts and defending champions Saint Lucia were knocked out of contention on the second of three matchdays on Thursday evening.

Playing St Vincent and the Grenadines at the Philip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia, the home team went ahead through Romiel Felix in the 38th minute. Retaining much of the possession, they appeared to be comfortably in charge.

But the Vincentians had other ideas. Both Emerald George and Myron Samuel had netted in their opening 3-2 win over Grenada. This time, George took a\dvantage of some poor Saint Lucian defending to draw the game level in the 75th minute. Samuel added the winner five minutes from time.

In the early game, Julian Wade and Glenworth Elizee combined to give  Dominica their first victory. Having held Saint Lucia to a 1-1 draw on Tuesday, the Dominicans were down 0-1 again within 15 minutes again Grenada. Cassim Langaigne was the scorer. But Wade restored parity three minutes later, and it remained level until the interval. Nine minutes from time, Elizee scored his second goal of the competition to seal the win.

On Saturday evening from 6pm, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica are set to clash in the championship decider. Vincy Heat have six points from two wins. The Nature Boys have four points from a draw and a win. In the other fixture, the two winless teams will meet, bottom of the table Grenada against Saint Lucia.
