Pigeon Point, Gros-Islet -St. Lucia: The 2014 ECVA Youth Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifier is set for St. Lucia from October 18-21, 2013. Teams from St. Vincent, Grenada, Dominica, Antigua, St. Kitts & Nevis and St. Lucia will compete to win a spot for the 2014 Nanjing Youth Olympics set for Nanjing, China in 2014.
The team of Dala Noel/Lisa Casimie, Skye Mondesir/Nikita Greenidge will represent the youth girls and Sachin Avril/Jervelle Edward, Alexander Augier/Andre Marquis Jr. will represent the youth boys.
The venue for the event is the beautiful Pigeon Island landmark which host a total of twelve teams, six male and six female teams. The games will be at 9 am on Saturday October 19 and continue with finals action on Sunday October 20, 2013.
Onboard for this event are the St. Lucia Olympic Committee, ECFH, LIME, Climax, The St. Lucia Tourist Board and the Ministry of Youth Development & Sports.
St. Lucian's are in for a treat as these young athletes jockey for position to earn a chance to represent their country, NORCECA and the Eastern Caribbean in Nanjing China at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games.
