All of St Lucia’s locally based competitive swimmers jump into the pool this weekend 18th to 20th October 2013 at the Capri Sun National Short Course Championship as they attempt to make the national Swim Team for the OECS Swimming Championships in November.

Competing in all age groups from 8 and under to the over 18 years, the swimmers will be competing against the arch rivals Grenada and fast improving newcomers Antigua. Hosted by the St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association and held at the Rodney Heights Aquatic Center, the traditional fierce rivalry is expected to continue between the islands at this year’s OECS Championships.

Apart from the locally based swimmers, St Lucia may have to draw help from the overseas swimmers such as Jordan Augier and Runako Daniel to augment the local talent

Within 24 hours of conclusion of the CapriSun meet, the Technical Committee of SLASA will convene to select the OECS team
