The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports 2015 Secondary Schools Under-15 Cricket Tournament continued on Tuesday with victories for Babonneau Secondary over defending champions St. Mary's College, Gros Islet Secondary over Castries Comprehensive Secondary, SDA Academy over Sir Ira Simmons, Beanfield Comprehensive over Marigot Secondary and for Choiseul Secondary over Soufriere Comprehensive.      

At the Monchy Playing Field, Babonneau Secondary registered a comfortable 64 run victory over St. Mary's College. Babonneau Secondary batting first was dismissed for 163 in 22.3 overs, with skipper Kimani Melius top scoring with 51, Stavone Gabriel 35, Rene Montoute 20 and Jelani Cupid 15. For St Mary's College, left arm spinner Simeon Gerson picked up 5 for 19 in 5 overs, Rahym Joseph 2 for 16 in 5 overs and Stephen Mitchel 2 for 25 in 3.3 overs.

Chasing 164 for victory, St. Mary's College was dismissed for 99 in 16 overs, with Rahym Joseph making 25 and Jonathan Khodra 20. Bowling for Babonneau Secondary, Cuthbert Mc Vane 3 for 3 in 1 over in the process, taking the 2nd Hat Trick of the tournament thus far, Rene Montoute 4 for 27 in 5 overs and Taryck Francis 2 for 29 in 5 overs.

In the first match at the Gros Islet Playing Field, Gros Islet Secondary completed an easy 136 run victory over Castries Comprehensive. Taking first knock, Gros Islet Secondary piled on 211 for 9 in their allotted 25 overs, with Jamal Eleodore making 40, Ferad Placide 34, Jaquan Louisien 32, Ziedan Danzie 12 and female player Qiana Joseph 10. Bowling for Castries Comprehensive, Zayne Fontenelle 4 for 39 in 4 overs and Dominic Auguste 3 for 40 in 5 overs.

In reply, Castries Comprehensive struggled against Gros Islet Secondary's seam attack and was bowled out for 75 in 15 overs, with Zion Prospere 14, the only batsman to reach double figures. Captain Qiana Joseph was Gros Islet Secondary's most successful bowler with figures of 5 for 17 in 5 overs. She was supported by fellow seamer Clieus Adonis with 3 for 11 in 4 overs and off spinner Ferad Placide 2 for 15 in 2 overs.

In match No.2 at Gros Islet, SDA Academy enjoyed a comfortable 62 run victory over Sir Ira Simmons. Led by captain Chaz Cepal with 99 not out and 23 each from Ackeem Auguste and Clem Ramlal, SDA Academy reached 204 for 4 in their allotted 25 overs. Bowling for Sir Ira Simmons, Jerous Moses 2 for 29 in 5 overs. In reply, Sir Ira Simmons finished on 145 for 8 in their allocated 25 overs, with Gabriel Biscette making 42 and Dillon Deligny 31. Bowling for SDA Academy, Shalyk St. Juste 3 for 13 in 4 overs, Chaz Cepal 2 for 12 in 5 overs and Joshua Cepal 2 for 36 in 5 overs.

At the Piaye Playing Field in the morning match,  Beanfield Comprehensive won comfortably over Marigot Secondary. Marigot Secondary batting first, reached on 82 for 6 in their quota of 19 overs, with Linus Yard 12 and Brandon Modeste 11. Bowling for Beanfield Comprehensive, Josiah Edwin 2 for 24 in 4 overs.

Chasing 83 for victory, Beanfield Comprehensive finished on 83 for 3 in just 12.3 overs, with Josiah Edwin finishing on 20 not out and Gervanni Atille 14. For Marigot Secondary, Brandon Modeste finished with 2 for 21 in 3.5 overs.

In the second match of the day at Piaye, Choiseul Secondary won a close match over Soufriere Comprehensive. Soufriere Comprehensive batting first, was dismissed for 129 in 23.2 overs, with Jamie Alexander 22, Billy Jn. Phillip 16 and Romanus George 15. Bowling for Choiseul Secondary, Stephanie Theophane 4 for 12 in 1.2 overs, Hanif Antoine 3 for 19 in 5 overs and Zarrel Gonzales 2 for 27 in 4 overs.
Set 130 for victory,  Choiseul Secondary held their nerves, finishing on 131 for 8 in 23.1 overs, with Xystus Emmanuel stroking 71. For Soufriere Comprehensive, the  main wicket takers were Romol George with 3 for 13 in 5 overs and Titius George 2 for 16 in 2.1 overs.

The tournament continues on Wednesday, with Entrepot Secondary coming up against Vide Bouteille Secondary from 9:30 am at the Monchy Playing Field and St Mary's College versus Leon Hess Comprehensive from 1:30 pm at the Gros Islet Playing Field.
