The much anticipated finals of the Mon Repos Football League between La Pointe 4H and Praslin Bay United was played on Sunday in front of a packed Wenn Playing Field. The game was a keenly contested affair, with Praslin scoring in the 32nd minute through Denver Charles.

Denver's marker would prove the eventual match winner, to the near euphoria of the drones of Praslin fans, who have seen their team play unbeaten throughout this tournament. Individual prizes for the tournament were awarded to a number of players, mainly from the two finalists.

Denver was named Most Valuable Player of the Finals and of the tournament, as well as the best midfielder. His Praslin Bay United teammate, Evanus 'Fant' Emmanuel, scored the most goals, and at the other end of the pitch, Shem Peter was named best goalkeeper.

Two players from La Pointe 4H were recognised, in the persons of best defender, Peterson Charlery, and best up-and-coming player, Jenoie Walker.
