It was a night of upsets last night as both Vieux Fort teams lost as the 2015 Blackheart /SLFA Knockout Football Tournament continued with a double header at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort.
In the opening encounter Roseau Valley had a one goal to nil win over Vieux Fort North with the winning goal coming from Shervon Boisville in the 76th minute.
Vieux Fort North had created several scoring opportunities in the encounter but they failed to convert them.
In the second match of the evening in what can be considered one of the biggest upsets in the tournament ‘s history South Castries had a one goal to nil win over Vieux Fort South .The winning goal coming from Johnathan Alfred in the 75th minute of the encounter.
This win was historic for South Castries as it was the first time that they were progressing into the second round of the competition in it’s 13th year..
Anthony “mishark” Jn Baptiste who won the first ever Blackheart Title with Mabouya Valley is the present coach of the South Castries team and he says the team did a lot of hard work in preparation for the encounter against Vieux Fort South.

The tournament now moves to Soufriere this coming weekend with the final set of preliminary round matches on Saturday evening and the start of quarter final action on Sunday evening.
On Saturday evening from 6. 30 p.m. Micoud takes on Mabouya Valley while from 8. 30 pm. Soufriere comes up against Gros Islet.
On Sunday evening in the start of the quarter final action :
From 6.00 p.m. Dennery vs South Castries
From 8.00 p.m. Canaries vs Babonneau.
