The Saint Lucia leg of the Queen's Baton relay is fast approaching and the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee has finalized the route for the Baton which is expected to arrive at the George F.L Charles Airport from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines  on the afternoon of Sunday March 16  at approximately 3:45pm.

President of the Saint Lucia Olympic Committee (SLOC) Fortuna Belrose will present the Baton to an athlete.  Other local athletes, together with Police escort  will leave the airport for Government House via Mandela Drive, John Compton Highway and La Toc Road. At Government House the Baton will be presented to Her Excellency, the Governor General Dame Pearlette Louisy.

On Monday March 17 the Baton will journey to the Gros-Islet Secondary School, the Monchy Primary School, the Babonneau Secondary school and the Fond Assau Primary School  before proceeding to the Rain Forest  Skyride to end the day's schedule.

Constitution Park will be the first stop on March 18 with photo opportunities at the recently unveiled statue of Sir John Compton. The Baton then proceeds to Cul De Sac and the George Charles Secondary School, then on to the Marigot Primary  School, the Anse la Raye Primary School, the Canaries Primary school, the Soufriere Primary and Secondary Schools. The Baton will then move to Bruce Ville in Vieux Fort and  then Northwards to Castries to Culminate the day.

The Baton will leave Saint Lucia for the Commonwealth of Dominica on Wednesday for its next stop as it swings through the Caribbean region.
