The 2014 National Under-16 Netball Team will depart St. Lucia for Antigua on Friday, April 4, 2014 to compete in the 14th (Caribbean) Jean Pierre Youth Netball Championship to be held in St. John’s Antigua during the period April 4 – 13, 2014. The 2014 St. Lucia Under-16 Netball Team comprises:

  2. Siana Jameson; Castries Comprehensive.
  3. Kamala Mangal; Corinth Secondary
  4. Emma Glasgow; Sir Ira Simmons
  5. Janell Mathurin; Sir Ira Simmons
  6. Bertrina St. Croix; Sir Ira Simmons
  7. Megan Nestor; Soufriere Comprehensive
  8. Rochelle Etienne; St. Joseph Convent
  9. Jhazmin Francis; St. Joseph Convent
  10. Claire Smartt; St. Joseph Convent
  11. Quantamie Wilson; St. Joseph Convent
  12. Tanny William; Vieux Fort Comprehensive
In 2011, St. Lucia won the (Caribbean) Jean Pierre Youth Netball Championship in Kitts, but lost the title to Barbados and placed second in the last tournament in St. Vincent and the Grenadines in 2012. The 2014 National Under-16 team is committed to maintaining the momentum of the last two tournaments.

The team’s manager is Mrs. Maryann Martial-Montoute. Ms. Shem Maxwell and Michelle Rogers are the team’s coach and assistant coach respectively.

Mr. Wayne Benti has been selected by the Regional Umpires’ Sub-Committee of the Americas to officiate at the tournament.
The Annual General Meeting of the Caribbean Netball Association will be attended by the SLNNA President – Mrs. Rufina Paul.
