The Saint Lucia Football Association’s Under 17 Men’s Championship progresses with a number of exciting matches taking place so far. 17 Teams are currently participating with the Marchand Football League and Laborie unable to field teams for this championship. The National Under17 Team has been included in this fixture to allow it some playing time as a unit but cannot hope to win the championship.

The first two teams leading from each zone as of today, Monday 7th April 2014 are as follows:

1.    Northern Zone – Central Castries and Gros Islet
2.    Southern Zone – Vieux Fort South and Vieux Fort North
3.    Eastern Zone -  Micoud and Dennery
4.    Western Zone – Soufriere and Canaries

The next round of matches take place this weekend and may see new leaders in the zones come next week. The Quarter Final stage will start at the various locations from Saturday 19 April 2014.

Meanwhile, the National Under 17 Team has dominated the championship scoring a total of 18 goals so far with the Canaries Team scoring 15 goals, the Vieux Fort South Team with 14 goals and the Soufriere Team with 10 Goals. Quarter Final match ups will be named next week.
