Regional officials benefited from a successful high powered two day Officials Clinic organized by the St Lucia Amateur Swimming Association and sponsored by the International Swimming Federation (FINA) over the weekend 5th and 6th April 2014 at The Bay Gardens Hotel
Conducted by the two most senior Technical officials in FINA, the clinic was well attended by 61 St. Lucians and 11 persons from the region.
Conducted by Carol Zaleski , Chairman of the FINA Technical Swimming Committee (TSC) and Søren Korbo, FINA TSC Honorary Secretary, the regional officials were lectured by the very FINA Technical officials who advise the international federation on technical matters.
The programme ran from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, in the Conference Room at the Bay Gardens Hotel and all participants will have an opportunity to put their new-found skills into immediate use, as the RHAC Invitational Swim Meet will be held on 10th to 13th April.
Senior Officials of SLASA, President Lance Arnold and Secretary Joyce Huxley voiced their strongest satisfaction with the clinic being awarded to St Lucia and the ability of St Lucia to successfully execute the clinic.
