In other news from the Youth Sailing Program, the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) has confirmed acceptance of sixteen year old Saint Lucian Marc Spurway in their Athlete Participation Programme (APP) for the 2014 Youth Worlds this summer.
Also coming out the SLYC Youth Sailing Programme is 15 year old Luc Chevrier, St. Lucia’s representative in the sailing discipline at the 2014 Youth Olympic Games. Luc will be competing in the Byte CII class of at these games although he , until recently, trains in the laser class. Luc performed extremely well in recent YOG Qualifier in Jensen Beach, Florida despite the fact that the Byte CII is a sailing class not raced in the Caribbean, and will depart this weekend for the next YOG Qualifier , this time to Italy where he will, again , put his training to work in the BYTE CII .
