Meggan William, Adriel Bousquet and Nathan Francis all participated in the Wilson COTECC ITF tennis Tournament held in Bridgetown Barbados 12th - 18th April 2014.
In the Boys 14"s Adriel Bousquet and Nathan Francis battled as follows:-
Adriel Bousquet defeated Jadon Brome of Barbados 6-3, 6-3 in the first round.
Adriel didn't go past the 2nd round as he was defeated by Kyle Frost also of Barbados 6 1, 6 3.
Nathan Francis on the other hand took on Tarigh Wiggins of Barbados serving past him 4 1, 4 1 in the quarterfinals of the Consolation Draw however he was defeated in the semi-finals by Akinde Redhead of Grenada - Love 4, 5 4(1), 4 Love.
Adriel and Nathan teamed up in the Doubles draw and defeated Zidan Dottin and Kaipo Marshall 6 3, 6 4 to move unto the 2nd round where they were defeated by Grenada's Davell Thomas and Ikolo Ukpioronfo 7 6(4), 6 4.
Meggan William also made it to the main draw in Barbados and all the way to semi finals but was defeated by Alexi Humphrey of St Vincent & the Grenadines 6 2, 6 0 cutting her one winner short from the finals.
Meggan then teamed up with Emma Davis of Trinidad taking on Ashley Bersma and Sheresse Henry of Antigua defeating them 6 3, 6 2 to cruise thru to the semi-finals however they were defeated by Alexi Humphrey and Anastasia White of St Vincent.
The Wilson COTECC Trinidad Circuit Singles division continued at the Eddie Taylor Public Courts, King George V Park, St Clair, Port of Spain.
Meggan William and Adriel Bousquet also participated in the tournament which started on 18th April and is expected to end on Saturday 26th April 2014.
Both Meggan William and Adriel Bousquet in the qualifying rounds sailed thru defeating everyone in their way to make it to the main draw.
Adriel's first match of the main draw saw him defeating Aaron Hayden of Barbados 6 3, 6 4 taking him to the 2nd round to face Ikolo Ukpioronfo of Grenada who defeated him 6 1, 1 6, 6 2.
In the doubles draw Adriel teamed up with Juan Sebastien Domininguez Collado of Guatemala being grateful for a Bye in the 1st round. In the 2nd round they defeated Adam Escalante and Kyle Frost 6 0, 2 6 (10-7) in the tiebreaker and went unto semifinals to face again Ikolo Ukpioronfo and Davell Thomas who defeated them 6 3, 6 4.
Meggan William on the other hand defeated Thalia Skeene of Trinidad in straight sets 6 2, 6 3 taking her into the quarter finals of the Girls 14 singles main draw when she faced Alexi Humphrey of St Vincent who defeated her 6 2, 6 3.
However Meggan was ready for more battle when she again teamed up with Emma Davis of Trinidad for the doubles draw where they defeated Anya King and Lily Lanser of Trinidad - 6 3, 6 7 (6) (10-8) super tiebreaker .
William and Davis went on to defeat the Benn Sisters of St Vincent beating them in convincing straight sets 6 3, 6 4 to make it to the final round where they again faced the other St Vincent pair of Alexi Humphrey and Anastasia White smashing them with the same Meggan William killer backhand for straight sets of 6 3, 6 4
In the end, Meggan William and her partner Emma Davis were crowned the COTECC Girls 14's Doubles Champion in Trinidad.
