Police Headquarters and Operations recorded victories in the Commissioner’s 20/20 Cup on Tuesday at the Mindoo Phillip Park.

HQ defeated Northern division by 6 wickets in the opening match of the competition. Batting first Northern Division compiled 99-4 off 15 overs. Alvin Faucher led the way with a knock of 27 and Ked Cadasse made 23. M. Serieux took 2-20 with a wicket each to Sheldon Thorpe and Alleyne Prosper.

Head Quarters took 14 overs to make an even hundred. Shervin Charles 34 and Sheldon Thorpe 23 the main scorers.

Game two saw Operations winning over the Southern Division by 7 wickets. Led by former Saint Lucia and Windwards player Desmond Collymore with 59, Southern Division scored 134 – 4 in their 20 overs. Cyril Charles 25 and Walter Emmanuel 20 made useful contributions.

Operations reached 149 – 3 with Fimbert Remy falling 1 short of his half century, Alyene Prospere made 41 and Barrie Charles 32.

Tournament continues on Thursday with Operations vs Northern Division from 10:00am and Southern Division plays Headquarters at 2:00pm. Both matches will be played at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
