Saltibus Road Repair to be Completed Today
Motorists traversing the Saltibus road are expected to have a smoother experience as potholing works being conducted by the Ministry of Infrastructure on that road are expected to be completed today.  

The project which has been described as challenging in the initial stages by the Engineering Assistant at the Ministry of Infrastructure Vaughan Edwin, began on April 10th.

Authorities Investigate Theft of Water Resource Management Agency
Bandits have made off with another important piece of equipment which was being used by the Water Resource Management Agency again.

Authorities say the rain gauge equipment which had been installed in an area at the George the 5th Park in Castries for over a century, was stolen on Friday morning.

Top Chef Finalist Nina Compton-Miller to be part of Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival
Internationally renowned chef and finalist in Bravo’s Top Chef Reality show Nina Compton-Miller arrived in Saint Lucia yesterday, Sunday May 4th to a hero’s welcome and in time for the grand finale of the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival.
 
Nina Compton was met at the Hewanorra International airport in the south by a delegation comprising her mom Lady Janice Compton, the Minister of Tourism Lorne Theophilus, Director of Tourism Louis Lewis and other officials of the Ministry of Tourism and the St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association, friends and well-wishers.

 Capella Marina at Marigot Bay Presents 2014 Jazz on the Bay Festival
The Capella Marina at Marigot Bay, Saint Lucia presents the sweet sounds of music and the Caribbean spirit with the 2014 Jazz on the Bay Festival. To coincide with Saint Lucia’s 23rd Annual Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, visitors and locals alike will celebrate the rich music history of Saint Lucia, dance, spa specials, poetry, arts and crafts and also savor some of the island’s best dishes at the Capella Marina.

Unlike previous years, the free festival will be held over two days, kicking off on Friday, May 2nd from noon to 10:00 pm and Saturday, May 3rd from noon to 10:00 pm, featuring more than 20 musical performances.
