Bocage Teen Missing

On Tuesday, May 5, 2015, Terry Bradley of Bocage, Castries made a missing persons report to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force

Bradley indicated that his son, 17 year old, Terrell Bradley also of Bocage was last seen on Sunday, May 5, 2015 about 9:00 p.m. in Bocage.

A suicide prevention hotline is expected to be established here before the end of the month as officials seek to response to the growing number of cases being reported here.

The disclosure was made by the Director of the Mental Wellness Centre Charmaine Hippolyte Thomas, amid calls from the public for an intervention.

HBO Latin America to Film St. Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival
Television Network HBO Latin America is in St Lucia for the 24th edition of the island’s Jazz and Arts Festival.

The network has partnered with the St Lucia Tourist Board—the main organizers of the music and arts concert series event for this project which will film original content for air on the channel.

Tragedy Strikes Chase Gardens Community
Tragedy struck this morning in the Chase Gardens community when three people perished in a house fire that destroyed their home.

According to Deputy fire Chief Lambert Charles, doubled efforts on the part of fire fighters on the scene, failed in attempts to rescue the occupants who were trapped in the burning building.

Five OECS Member States Launch Project to Reduce Poverty
Five OECS Member States, Antigua and Barbuda; the Commonwealth of Dominica; Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines  have successfully launched a Multidimensional project on reducing poverty in the OECS.

The Government of Chile is funding the project top to the tune of EC$2.7 million dollars.

Fuel Prices to Increase Today

Changes in the price of fuel in accordance with the three week market pass through mechanism have taken effect here today.

According to a news release from the Ministry of Commerce the changes are in keeping with international trends in oil prices and will reflect increases in the cost of gasoline and LPG, whereas, there has been a decline in the cost of diesel.
