Strong efforts are currently underway for the removal of Mary Isaac as President of the CSA following an extraordinary meeting called on Thursday.

Among those leading the exercise is Mr Ditus Fedee who has pointed to several irregularities in the management of the Union’s affairs. He highlighted that the constitution makes no provision for a cancellation of an extraordinary meeting by holding another.

Further Mr Fedee points as unconstitutional the appointment of Ms Isaac and Wilfred Pierre as acting General Secretary and acting CSA President. He explained that the constitution makes provision for the position of acting President only in the absence of the duly elected individual.

Meanwhile, another Petitioner who voted for the resignation of Ms Isaac Elisha Malaykhan says CSA members were lured into attending Thursday’s extraordinary meeting under the pretence that they would have been updated on the progress of negotiations with the GNT.

He confirmed that steps are being taken to forcibly remove Ms Mary Isaac from the Union’s top position through the courts.
