An official at the Water resource Management Agency says despite the rains experienced here over the past few days, the island continues to experience a dry spell.

Mr Fitzgerald John notes a meteorological drought continues to affect the island, which has resulted in reduced capacity in the raw water supply.

He has urged for the continuance of water conservation methods until the situation improves.

Mr John noted that based on weather predictions, officials forecast that the dry spell will last until June this year.
