The defendant in a spitting incident that allegedly occurred on the Reduit Beach during an altercation between a vendor and a Restaurant owner has filed a counter suit.

Ms Marietta Banjamin was served the summons, indicating that Mr Michael Richings has filed an assault charge with police against her. The case is expected to be called on April 8th.

Speaking on the issue earlier today, President of the Vendors Association Peter Ras Ipa Isaac explained that the Ms Benjamin will go through the court process.

He adds that statements made by the complainant following a sufficiency hearing on March 11th , were misrepresented the media.

Ms Benjamin is expected to answer to the same assault charges which she filed against Michael Richings
