Changes in the price of fuel in accordance with the three week market pass through mechanism have taken effect here today.

According to a news release from the Ministry of Commerce the changes are in keeping with international trends in oil prices and will reflect increases in the cost of gasoline and LPG, whereas, there has been a decline in the cost of diesel.

Consumers will now pay $2.67 for gasoline per litre up from $2.65. Diesel has moved downward from $2.52 per litre to $2.44 per litre.

The 20 pound LPG cylinder has moved from $24.63 to $26.27, the 22 pound cylinder has increaded from $27.38 to $29.18 and the 100 pound cylinder has increased from 189.45 to $197.64.

The price of kerosene remains unchanged at $1.80 per litre

The retail prices on fuel will be next adjusted on Monday May 25th
