As organizers of the 24th edition of the St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival prepare for the big weekend showing, they have reported that the buzz surrounding the event has in no way fizzled out.

In fact they are predicting that the festival is expected to close off on Sunday, with as much flare and fanfare as when it opened on the Mindoo Philip park on April 30th.

According to Public Relations Manager at the St Lucia Tourist Board John Emmanuel, the weekend begins with the opening of Caribbean night that will feature popular acts like Beres Harmond among others.

Meanwhile, in pointing to the success of the first ever Arts village which has been showcasing the work of local artisans for the past two days, Mr Emmanuel has described it as a fitting tribute to renowned St Lucian painter Sir Dunstan St Omer.

The collaboration has been organized by the management of the two shopping malls on the Rodney Bay strip.

The St Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival will close off at the Pigeon Island Landmark on Sunday.
